During the last 2 years there has been a growing demand in Europe for increased transparency on the data that is held and managed by Transmission System Operators. ETSO is providing market data at the European level on NTC, interconnectors, grid availability, load and generation.

The responsibility for data edition, checking and publication is clearly on individual TSOs. For many legal and organisational reasons, ETSO cannot act in their name. But ETSO may make the information access easier. It can also allow a quick overview of what is available, and of the reasons why a piece of information may not be available in a given area.
